Here at Infrared Training Ltd the focus for our training courses has always been based around raising standards in education for Thermography. As an established SME in our 10th year of trading, we are aware of the limitations of a budget when setting up a company and the potential difficulties in decisions relating to purchases of equipment, training, premises, marketing etc.
We have seen a sharp rise in start up companies attending our training over the past few years; this correlates with essaysbig.com figures released by Santander that show that as of the end of March 2015, the North West had 215,780 SMEs (Liverpool Echo). For those companies within the field of Thermography, we want to offer them the best value for their investment in training- without compromising on the standard they receive, enabling them to hit the ground running and be a success in their chosen industry.
To be able to perform high quality infrared surveys and to deliver a detailed report to an individual or organisation, in addition to the correct equipment- quality professional training is key. Although an established SME, we compete on a Global scale with International corporations including infrared camera manufacturers. We are currently the only company in the UK that offer Thermography training as its core business. We feel that the experience of our skilled training instructors and their passion for the technology is what drives our training organisation to continue its success in new and existing markets around the world.
Although already competitively priced, we wanted to ensure that we could continue to provide our quality training for companies or individuals in emerging markets. For students within the UK, we have registered with the Professional Career Development Loans; this is a government scheme aimed at assisting those wanting a career change to have access to funds, ensuring they obtain the correct training in an affordable way.
Similarly, we are registered with UK Register of Learning Providers, this is a portal used by a large majority of government agencies to verify a training organisation during the process of a student gaining funding; from the Skills Funding Agency for example.
For any Armed Forces personnel wishing to utilise their Enhanced Learning Credits for resettlement training, we are registered as a Learning Provider with the Ministry of Defence through the ELCAS scheme.
In addition to assisting students to more easily access the necessary funds for training across a range of industries, we have also registered with the CPD Standards Office; meaning that anyone enrolled on any of our Thermography or Air Tightness Testing training courses gain the number of hours they have trained as accredited Continual Professional Development hours.
Our unique selling point and what sets us apart from other Thermography training providers, (in addition to our experienced, knowledgable, industry expert training instructors) is the level of service we provide before and after our training. Our lead trainer and Managing Director is part of the British Institute of Non Destructive Testing (BINDT) Thermography working group; meaning we are up to date with any changes within the industry. We have dedicated administration staff on hand to deal with telephone or email queries, we offer full support for our industry first online reporter tool, allowing our instructors to evaluate the students field work as part of a second party certification process. We also, as an Approved Examination Centre, liaise with students and BINDT to support any student wishing to take a PCN examination to gain 3rd party to certification via ISO 18436. Plus, as we are an independent training organisation, we welcome requests to deliver bespoke in house training, onsite for organisations wishing to train a number of personnel; this can be more cost effective and also enhances the learning process as students can conduct practical exercises in familiar surroundings.
Thermography is a niche technology, used in an increasingly wide variety of industries and applications. As a small organisation with a global reach, we are proud to support clients from all over the world wishing to pursue a career in Thermography; whilst ensuring that high levels of standards in their education are maintained.
