WHY USE INFRARED TRAINING LIMITED
Infrared Training Ltd have been delivering Infrared Thermography training courses Worldwide for many years. We are not affiliated with any camera manufacturer and do not sell hardware, but offer the highest quality training on all makes and models of infrared equipment and software programmes. Our company core business is education and training with a focus designed to raise standards within the field of Thermography. The courses content is based on ISO 18436 and ASNT SNT TC 1A course outlines and our company is audited externally by BINDT to ensure our quality systems represent the best practice in todays developing technological society
Over the years we have seen how effective the courses are by using trainers that have a wealth of experience in the field and a proved record that they can pass on their knowledge to organisations and students attending these events.
In Liverpool we have a dedicated training room with a large selection of camera and accessories. We have build, safe, demonstration equipment to simulate equipment found in industry. The training and conference centre has a reception area, on site restaurant, free wifi, and free parking. Our offices are conveniently situated near a range of hotels less than 2 miles from The Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which makes us accessible to a range of transport links.
BINDT APPROVED TRAINING ORGANISATION
Worldwide there are very few organisations that have a seal of approval from BINDT for Thermography. As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) for BINDT, (The British Institute of Non Destructive Testing), our courses are based on a third party Condition Monitoring certification scheme aligned with ISO 18436-7. This internationally recognised scheme provides a PCN (Personal certification in Non destructive Testing) certificate when students have completed all aspects of the course and taken an independent examination. Students should apply directly to BINDT, the cost is not inclusive of our course fees, the examination fees can be found on the BINDT website. As an Approved Examination Centre (AEC) we can make arrangements for the PCN exams to be taken at many of our training locations.
Our courses also meet and exceed requirements set by ASNT (American Society of Non Destructive Testing), an employer based scheme following the ASNT SNT TC 1A recommended practice which provides guidelines for employers to develop in-house certification programmes. We understand that most companies do not have the experienced thermography personnel to write a procedure, so they rely on organisations to deliver the training on their behalf. This allows students to attain a certificate through an alternative method.
In addition to our scheduled training, which we run throughout the year at a range of locations, we can offer bespoke in house training for organisations who may benefit from the trainer delivering courses at their premises. This means students have the opportunity to conduct the practical exercises within their own environment which can further enhance their learning experience.
We run Air Tightness Training courses in line with the New Occupational Standards (NOS) and Minimal Technical Competencies (MTCs) to meet government requirements for testers. Once the courses have been completed, students can register with one of the approved schemes iATS or ATTMA.
UK THERMOGRAPHY ASSOCIATION
As well as 30 years experience working in the petro-chemical industry using Thermography as a non-destructive testing inspection technique, Austin Dunne is a member of the BINDT Thermography working group, and IRT is a registered member of the UK Thermography Association. As an organisation, not only are we passionate about increasing educational standards within the field of Thermography, we are at the forefront of any changes and advances by being part of these industry specific organisations.
ACCREDITED TRAINING INSTRUCTORS
Infrared Training Limited has two instructors (Austin & John) that have Category 3 (L3) PCN qualifications from BINDT and a Category 2 (L2) qualification for a third instructor (David). All three instructors have in-depth application knowledge that includes Electrical, Mechanical & Civil (Buildings & Structures) as well as extensive experience in Process application acquired during 30 years in the Petro/Chemical Industry. Non Destructive Testing (NDT) is always based on practical experience and with the instructors all having thousands of hands – on hours behind them, they are particularly well placed to deliver not just the course material, but issues that thermographers are likely to come across in the field.
