Infrared Training Ltd launched in 2005 and have delivered Infrared Thermography training courses in many locations across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa. We are not affiliated with any camera manufacturer, yet offer quality training on all makes and models of infrared equipment. Our company focus is to continue to raise the standards within the field of Thermography by delivering high quality training based on ISO 18436 and ASNT SNT TC 1A standards.
We have a dedicated training room with interactive smart board and hand held iPads. The training and conference centre we are located in has a reception area, on site restaurant, free wifi and free parking. Our offices are conveniently situated near a range of hotels less than 2 miles from The Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which makes us accessible to a range of main transport links.
As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) of BINDT, The British Institute of Non Destructive Testing, our courses follow are based on a third party Condition Monitoring certification scheme aligned with ISO 18436. This internationally recognised scheme provides a PCN (Personal certification in Non destructive Testing) certificate when students have completed all aspects of the course and taken an independent examination. Students should apply directly to BINDT, the cost is not inclusive of our course fees, the examination fees can be found on the BINDT website. As an Approved Examination Centre (AEC) we can make arrangements for the PCN exams to be taken at any of our training locations.
Our courses also meet and exceed requirements set by ASNT an employer based scheme following the ASNT SNT TC 1A recommended practice which provides guidelines for employers to develop in-house certification programmes. We understand that most companies do not have the experienced thermography personnel to write a procedure, so they rely on organisations to deliver the training on their behalf. This allows students to attain accreditation through an alternative method.
In addition to our scheduled training, which we run throughout the year at a range of locations, we can offer bespoke in house training for organisations who may benefit from the trainer delivering courses at their premises. This means students have the opportunity to conduct the practical exercises within their own environment which can further enhance their learning experience.
We run Air Tightness Training courses in line with the New Occupational Standards and Minimal Technical Competencies to meet requirements for both newly introduced schemes.
As well as 30 years experience working in the petro-chemical industry using Thermography as a non-destructive testing inspection technique, Austin Dunne is a member of the BINDT Thermography working group, and IRT is a registered member of the UK Thermography Association. As an organisation, not only are we passionate about increasing educational standards within the field of Thermography, we are at the forefront of any changes and advances by being part of these industry specific organisations.
ELCAS registered. ELCAS is the Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme from the Ministry of Defence, meaning that Armed forces leavers have the option to apply for funding towards retraining.
October 2015 has seen the introduction of CPD credits to all of our training courses. Continued Professional Development has become more important in many industries in recent years and each individual institution or industry has their own requirements. We have registered and are accredited by the CPD Standards Office and have our unique logo to verify we are a CPD provider and all students receive a certificate for their records.
